‘Kay-bah~nish’

Our Story

adj. The warm-hearted feeling of having been away and now returning home—to your community, your family, your friends, and ultimately, to yourself.

Example of Kebaonish in a sentence: Sitting here drinking tea and coffee with my friends and family, the hours fly by as we share our stories, and I am left with a deep feeling of Kebaonish; I am home.

From Anishinaabemowin ‘Kebaowek’ (meaning the place where you disembark or ‘river narrows’) + nish from word Anishinaabe (meaning ‘Original Peoples’) in Anishinaabemowin.

A Spirit of Sharing

Kebaonish is an Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee-led coffee and tea company committed to celebrating the spirit of sharing in First Nations cultures and communities across Turtle Island (North America) and beyond. We skillfully craft unique blends of coffee and tea, drawing inspiration from our First Nations heritage to offer an enriching experience.

By enjoying a cup of our uniquely inspired beverages, we create an all-encompassing moment that brings people together, encouraging the sharing of stories and celebrating connections.

At Kebaonish, we embrace Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee traditional knowledge systems, wisdom, and worldviews, promoting a generational sense of well-being.

Our mission is to bring people closer to harmony with the world by incorporating the Anishinaabe principle of Mino-Bimaadiziwin (‘living the good life’) and the Haudenosaunee principle of Ka'nikonhrí:yo (‘the good mind’) into the everyday moments of life, starting with a cup of coffee or tea.
