Our packaging for Kebaonish Tea was thoughtfully designed by Melissa Brant, a talented Mohawk (Indigenous) artist running the She's High on Vibes studio in downtown Belleville, Ontario.

Each packaging background showcases an artistic representation of various elements of Mother Earth, reflecting the intricate ecological rhythms that form the harmonious heartbeat of our planet.

The elements in balance with one another.

By incorporating these elements, Kebaonish seeks to raise awareness about the delicate balance between humans and nature, underscoring the importance of respecting and protecting the environment. Our packaging serves as a visual reminder of the interconnectedness of all living beings and the vital role each of us plays in preserving this delicate balance.

The side medallions on our packaging feature intricate tree designs, symbolizing Traditional Indigenous Teachings and their interconnected nature.

Branches of a Tree connect our tea and teachings together.

Just as the branches on a tree depend on one another, the Seven Grandfather Teachings are interdependent, with each principle reinforcing and intertwining with the others. Love cannot thrive without truth; bravery complements humility; and so on. This interconnectedness teaches us to embrace all the teachings collectively for a harmonious and fulfilled life.

The centre medallions in our packaging represent the Seven Grandfather Teachings, inviting personal reflection and interpretation. Each visual portrayal offers a unique perspective, encouraging discussions and shared insights. Through these conversations, Kebaonish fosters a sense of relationality, community, and connection, creating a deeper understanding of these valuable teachings.

Each Centre Medallion represents one of the Seven Grandfather Teachings

To further accentuate the essence of the teachings, each packaging colour corresponds to the hue of the associated tea blend. For instance, green symbolizes growth and renewal for our wisdom-infused green tea, while red embodies passion and love for our Harmony Hibiscus Spice Tea. The gentle pink hue of our Zesty Ginger + Turmeric Spice Herbal Tea represents caring and respect, while purple, the colour of bravery, is mirrored in our Artisanal Fusion Black Tea. Vibrant orange signifies honesty in our Citrus Sunset Rooibos Tea, while yellow, reflecting positivity and strength, complements our Chamomile + Valerian Herbal tea. Finally, blue, associated with truth, aligns with our Ginger Cinnamon Herbal Blue Tea.

Each colour of our packaging and tea reflect the colour of each teaching.

By integrating the colours of the Seven Grandfather Teachings into each tea blend, Kebaonish creates a multi-sensory experience that deepens the connection between the teachings and the individual, facilitating a spiritual journey of growth, healing, and self-discovery.

Each teaching is represented through an animal.

As you share Kebaonish teas with others, our hope is that these experiences spark positive change and encourage environmentally sustainable practices. Embracing the spirit of the Anishinaabe teachings in daily life fosters a collective sense of responsibility, contributing to a healthier and more harmonious world for generations to come. Let's unite through stories and shared experiences, promoting harmony and balance in our lives and the world around us. Together, we can make a lasting, positive impact on ourselves, our communities, and the environment.
